This opener replaces one that looked and worked essentially the equivalent, that opener went on for 3-4 years. A plastic base retainer ring broke on the past opener, else it was all the while pulling plugs. This one is by all accounts somewhat re-designed at the zone that the old one broke, so we have high trusts in it enduring significantly longer than the "old" one. I paid $19.99 for this unit and was enticed to pay more for ideally "better" units that appeared to be identical (I needed one that worked and resembled our old unit). Happy I didn't, this unit is actually what I needed. This unit sits in a stand, and the Power line is constantly connected to the stand. To utilize the old one, we needed to unplug the opener. I like this course of action better where the opener sits in the charging base, as I don't need to stress over whether the unit is charged or not, it sits in the holder and is accusing of a decent blue nightlight. (Ideally, the battery isn't one that has a Memory impact that the consistent charging will contrarily affect the life.) My pledge to the insightful is take several seconds and endeavor to get the corkscrew to some degree focused on the plug when initiating. I have an inclination the "topsy turvy" pulling activity is the thing that broke our old one..... As a side remark, even the Foil Cutter works preferred and is mounted better over the one that accompanied the old puller.
