Although Subaru is going to present Hybrid Tourer Concept only next month at the Tokyo Motor Show, Subaru have already released some pictures and information about the car. Subaru call's the car a "new proposal for the future of (the) grand touring car."
It have 2.0-Liter turbocharged horizontally-opposed “Boxer” four-cylinder,
mated to its Lineartronic CVT, is bolted to a two-mode hybrid system. The car is going to be AWD of course.
Hybrid Tourer Concept is big, comfortable family car. It have unique seats with breathable leather.
The concept car also features
"EyeSight", a vehicle-to-vehicle and road-to-vehicle communication system
designed to help prevent collisions. The system uses a stereo camera
and a 3D processor.
No hybrid until 2014?! It might be time to walk away from Subaru. I love the brand, and have been imrpsseed with my vehicle, but the cutting edge style, luxury (which has been getting less and less on the newer Imprezas) and power in the world is pointless if you cant afford to drive the thing.
