UPDATE:Nissan introduces electric car - LEAF.

Nissan introduced electric car prototype called LEAF. Nissan says that this car will be on market next year, and on highway is capable to drive 100miles (160km) without refuel.
It will be powered by 24 kWh lithium ion battery pack. To fully charge the car at home, you will need only 8 hours, so it can be good daily car to ride to job, and charge at night. Motor will have 107 horsepower and 206 pound-feet of torque.
The car is made to save electricity everywhere, for example LED headlights will save 10% of the electricity of conventional lamps.
“Our car had to be the world’s first, medium-size, practical EV that
motorists could afford and would want to use every day. And that’s what
we’ve created,” said Masato Inoue, Product Chief Designer. “The styling
will identify not only Nissan LEAF but also the owner as a participant in the new era of zero-emission mobility.”
